Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Pharmacy to lead two LTACH facilities in San Antonio. You will coordinate clinical and administrative activities, oversee staffing and inventory, and ensure high-quality patient care within regulatory guidelines.

You will drive cost control, optimize workflows, and collaborate with nursing and medical staff to deliver safe and effective pharmaceutical services across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or PharmD.
• Licensed pharmacist in Texas or eligible for licensure in Texas.
• IV certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Hospital/inpatient experience preferred.
• Pharmacist in charge or pharmacy management experience preferred.
• Ability to lead all aspects of pharmacy operation.
• Strong communication with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise clinical activities as delegated by the Director of Pharmacy.
• Supervise scheduling of technicians and monitor process compliance.
• Implement procedures to comply with medicine handling regulations.
• Manage day-to-day activities of pharmacy technicians.
• Communicate with nursing staff and physicians when medicines are unavailable.
• Maintain pharmacist certifications and access controls to medical records.
• Provide pharmaceutical care to patients as staff pharmacist.
• Manage inventory and procurement to ensure drug availability.
• Lead staffing, onboarding and performance processes.
• Optimize internal workflows and staffing in acute pharmacy.
• Participate in hospital committee meetings for cross-functional coordination.
• Assist cost-reduction and efficiency initiatives.
