Job summary

Mercy Health in Warren, Ohio, is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to assist pharmacists in interpreting orders, dispensing medications, and ensuring timely delivery for both inpatient and outpatient services.

You will support IV compounding, automation devices, and medication reconciliation, while counseling patients and helping with education at discharge. Training new technicians and interdisciplinary collaboration are part of this role.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy intern license required; active board of pharmacy license.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Active enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy with intern license.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and process physician orders, interpretations and dispensing for inpatient and outpatient care.
• Assist with IV admixtures, automation devices, and medication distribution.
• Counsel patients and provide medication education and transition of care counseling.
• Train and precept new pharmacy technicians, students, and interns; participate in committees.
