Job summary

OhioHealth in Marion General Hospital is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Intern (as needed) currently enrolled in a pharmacy program. This role supports the Clinical Pharmacy Services department and provides hands-on learning in medication preparation and patient care under supervision.

You will assist with labeling, review orders, document billing and inventory, and communicate with healthcare professionals and patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Active registration as Pharmacy Intern with Ohio Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• 25% Obtain, prepare, and label pharmacy products according to department policy.
• 15% Review and interpret orders under supervision, perform interventions as needed.
• 15% Produce billing, monitoring, and usage documentation for proper billing and inventory.
• 5% Maintain sufficient inventory of pharmacy products.
• 10% Provide information via phone/in person to healthcare professionals and customers.
• 5% Submit medication charge data for reimbursement.
• 5% Help train technicians, externs and interns in technical duties.
• 5% Participate in special projects as needed.
