Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Pharmacy Intern at St. Joseph Warren Hospital to assist pharmacists with interpreting orders, preparing medications, and ensuring safe delivery for inpatients and outpatients.

You will work under pharmacist supervision in a busy hospital setting. The position requires enrollment in a College of Pharmacy with an active intern license and completion of required licensing steps.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Intern License – State Board of Pharmacy (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Various (preferred)
• Actively enrolled in an accredited college of pharmacy with an active board of pharmacy intern license (required)

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in interpreting and processing orders for inpatient and outpatient services.
• Distribute medications, IV solutions, floor stock, and controlled substances to patient care areas.
• Counsel and provide medication education to patients and transition of care.
• Train and precept new pharmacy technicians, students, and interns.
• Participate in medication reconciliation and engage with hospital staff and physicians.
