Job summary

Grant Medical Center, part of OhioHealth, is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The role targets students in a 4-year or 6-year program, actively enrolled in a College of Pharmacy with an Ohio intern license.

You will obtain, prepare, and label products, review orders, manage billing documentation, and assist with training and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Active Ohio Pharmacy Intern License.
• Actively enrolled in a College of Pharmacy.
• For international grads, NABP FPGEE and TOEFL-ibt completed.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, prepare, and label pharmacy products per department policy for final distribution.
• Review and interpret orders under supervision and process per policy.
• Produce billing, monitoring, and usage documentation for proper billing and inventory.
• Maintain sufficient inventory of pharmacy products for efficient distribution.
• Provide information via phone or in person to healthcare professionals and customers.
• Submit medication charge data to assure proper reimbursement.
• Assist in training technicians, externs, and interns.
• Participate in special projects when necessary.
