Medical City Alliance, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Director of Pharmacy to lead hospital pharmacy operations with a focus on patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. This role requires strategic planning, staff leadership, and collaboration with medical staff to optimize therapies and service delivery.

The Director will oversee education, policy development, and performance improvement initiatives while ensuring alignment with hospital goals and shared services. A PharmD/B.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy required.
• Five years hospital leadership experience and/or PGY2 leadership residency preferred.
• Knowledge of the legal responsibilities of the pharmacist to the facility and all state and federal laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of pathophysiology, pharmacokinetics and pharmacotherapeutics and use of new medications.

Responsabilités

• Establish quality improvement, fiscal, productivity, and patient satisfaction goals with upper management.
• Supervise dissemination of drug information and provide in-service education to hospital staff.
• Assist staff pharmacists in routine discharge duties as needed.
• Direct activities and provide guidance to pharmacy personnel.
• Exercise professional judgment in drug information to patients and health professionals.
• Communicate hospital mission and philosophy to staff and integrate with operations.
• Lead new program development and evaluation; act as consultant in areas of expertise.
• Ensure departmental operations meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.

Formation

B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy

Five years hospital leadership experience

Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws

Knowledge of pathophysiology and pharmacotherapy
