Job summary

Lakeview Hospital is seeking a PBX Operator to support patient care by handling calls, greeting visitors, and coordinating hospital communications. You will monitor emergency codes, assist with registration, and provide after-hours document requests as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Some switchboard or receptionist experience preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and typing skills required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Receive, screen, and transfer incoming hospital calls.
• Greet and direct patients and visitors.
• Facilitate hospital overhead paging and internal communications.
• Monitor emergency codes and alarms across the campus.
• Provide visual surveillance and report suspicious activity.
• Assist with patient registration and minor secretarial duties.
• Handle emergent and stat medical record requests after hours.
