Job summary

The Jackson Hospital is seeking a PBX Operator to manage the hospital's communications, relay messages between physicians, nurse stations and patients, and operate the radio paging system. You will ensure rapid notification across the facility for all codes and emergencies, coordinating with departments to support life-saving measures.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, prior switchboard experience preferred, and basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Windows).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Previous switchboard experience in hospital or 911 operator or answering service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a radio paging system to relay incoming/outgoing messages between physicians, nurse stations, and patients.
• Provide immediate notification to proper Hospital personnel for any type disaster.
• Provide immediate communication for hospital codes to ensure life saving measures are accomplished immediately.
