Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a PBX operator to support the hospital's telephone switchboard, provide routine information, route calls to the right person or location, and operate the facility-wide paging system. Previous PBX experience and healthcare exposure are preferred; a GED is required. The position supports timely responses to codes and alarms and liaises with local and state agencies as needed.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year PBX experience preferred.
• Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Licenses and certifications none required.

Responsibilities

• Operates multiple-call telephone switchboard system and routes calls to the appropriate person or location.
• Operates facility-wide paging system.
• Responds to codes and alarms in a timely manner.
• Operates Emergency Communication equipment to communicate with hospital staff at all locations plus local and state agencies.
