Job summary

Qualifications

• GED/HS diploma preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist ambulatory patients with transfers and preparation for transport.
• Transport medications from inpatient pharmacy to units and specimens in secured containers.
• Move wheelchairs, stretchers and beds to units; assist with patient transports to tests and discharges.
• Clean and maintain equipment used for patient transport; follow safety and infection control standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and patients; provide patient comfort and safety.
