Boston Medical Center is seeking a part-time Transporter to move patients, medical equipment, and items between departments and care areas. You will support physicians, nurses, technicians, and therapists to help them perform their duties efficiently and safely.

The role requires attention to patient comfort and safety, adherence to protocols, and strong communication with the care team. CPR is preferred; heavy lifting and standing are required. Weekend shifts apply.

Qualifikationen

• 6–12 months of experience in customer service or patient transportation.
• Ability to lift, push and pull heavy loads and stand for long periods.
• Effective communication with nursing staff, patients and families; English proficiency required.

Aufgaben

• Transport patients between departments, care areas and for procedures using wheelchairs, stretchers or beds.
• Ensure patient safety, verify identity and adhere to isolation and basic precautions.
• Disinfect equipment, return equipment to proper locations and report repairs.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and log dispatch requests promptly.
