Job summary

Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is seeking a Patient Flow Manager to lead a team of Patient Flow Coordinators and Transporters within a hospital setting. You will apply knowledge of patient transport concepts, infection control, and body mechanics to optimize operations.

You will supervise dispatcher activity, coordinate services with other departments, and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies while helping the unit director meet budgetary goals.

Qualifications

• Requires management experience in hospital environment and/or patient transportation.
• Analytical ability to interpret statistical data and identify trends that impact operations.
• Basic computer skills; ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of Patient Flow Coordinators and Transporters in a hospital setting.
• Develops dispatcher logic and coordinates transporter activities; monitors dispatch operations.
• Coordinates Patient Transportation with other departments and develops service agreements as needed.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies (e.g., Federal, State, JCAHO, OSHA, CDC).
• Trains and develops personnel (dispatchers, trainers, transporters, couriers, drivers, elevator operators).
• Assists unit director in achieving financial objectives and managing department budget.
