Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring immediately for a part-time Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Oxford, MS. You will assist on the unit with menu selections, tray assembly, and delivering meals.

No prior food service is required; training is offered. The role features meal plan perks and flexible days and hours. Applicants must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and read/interpret English documents.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand menu selections and ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences; or when a patient asks about additional selections.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection and retrieve trays from patient rooms on time.
• Comply with federal, state, and JCAHO standards; adhere to HIPAA policies and patient rights.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food, cleaning work stations, and breaking down the tray line.
• Assist dietitians and monitor patients on dietary restrictions as needed.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Complete all daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in Morrison Healthcare policies.
