Job summary

Morrison Healthcare in Saint Petersburg, FL is hiring part-time Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) positions at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital. Shifts are 12 hours (6:30 am–6:30 pm), about 3.5 days weekly with rotating weekends and some holidays.

You will assist patients with menu selections, tray assembly and delivery, and collaborate with nursing and culinary teams to meet nutritional needs. Training is provided; benefits include 401k, paid vacation, holiday pay, and growth

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, and cultural/religious preferences.
• Assemble meals and retrieve trays in a timely and accurate manner.
• Adhere to HIPAA, confidentiality, and patient rights policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and maintain clean work stations.
• Support dietitians and monitor patients on special diets.
• Communicate issues to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly reports per Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations.
