Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE (DIETARY AIDE) at Novant Health Matthews Medical Center in Matthews, NC. The 6:30 am to 6:30 pm fully staffed schedule varies by days, with a fixed pay rate of $17.00 per hour.

As part of the caregiving team, you’ll help patients with menu selections, assemble, deliver and retrieve meals, and ensure accuracy, safety and patient satisfaction in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, and maneuver/push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions with care team.
• Assemble meals according to patient selections and retrieve trays on schedule.
• Comply with federal/state regulations and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and maintaining station cleanliness.
• Support dietitians in monitoring patients on special diets.
