Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and coordinate with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, or cultural preferences.
• Assemble meals and retrieve trays from patient rooms on a timely, accurate schedule.
• Adhere to HIPAA, confidentiality, and patient rights policies; follow HACCP guidelines for food handling.
• Support dietitians and care teams in monitoring patients’ nutrition and room service processes.
