Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, seeks an Associate, Patient Dining (Dietary Aide) for a full-time hospital dining role in Houston, TX. You will help patients with menu selections, assemble and deliver meals, and support dietitians while upholding safety and quality standards.

The position offers on-site training, potential weekend/holiday rotation, and career growth within the Morrison & Compass network. Experience in patient dining and strong customer service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic and religious preferences.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection and retrieve trays on time.
• Comply with HIPAA and patient rights policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and sanitation procedures.
• Assist dietitians with patients on restricted diets.
• Communicate problems to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete daily, weekly or monthly reports.
• Adhere to health and sanitation regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
