Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, and cultural preferences.
• Assemble and retrieve meals and ensure timely delivery.
• Follow HIPAA policies and facility confidentiality requirements.
• Adhere to HACCP guidelines when handling food and cleaning stations.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on restricted diets.
