Job summary

Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicago's western suburbs, with its main campus at Loyola University Medical Center and a three-hospital network.

We are hiring a Hospital Customer Service Representative / Patient Concierge who greets visitors, answers questions, coordinates directions, protects patient privacy, and connects families with clinical teams to deliver exceptional care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for patient/family interactions.
• Ability to analyze information and implement solutions.
• Proactive approach to quality improvement and efficiency.
• Healthcare or healthcare-adjacent customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, answer questions, give directions, and facilitate communication between families and clinical teams.
• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality while assisting with visitor management.
• Provide wheelchair assistance and escort patients/visitors as needed within the hospital.
• Coordinate waiting room activities and share patient status updates when appropriate.
• Collaborate with Patient Relations, Social Work, Chaplain Services, and Security to resolve concerns.
