Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Food Service Aide for the Department of Food and Nutrition Services. This full-time role requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and customer service experience, with shifts 6:00am-3:00pm or 11:30am-8:00pm, including three weekends per month and rotating holidays.

Responsibilities include delivering, serving, and retrieving trays, maintaining sanitation, and collaborating with nursing staff to support patient care and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be literate in English and able to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Delivers, serves, and retrieves food trays/carts following proper protocol.
• Contributes to patient and customer satisfaction with high service standards.
• Stores and distributes food, supplies, and equipment around the hospital.
• Maintains sanitation ratings and complies with Health Department policies.
• Follows safety guidelines and completes required trainings.
• Collaborates with nursing staff and other departments as needed.
• Adheres to hospital policies to promote a cooperative work environment.
