Job summary

Kindred Hospital Rancho in Rancho Cucamonga, CA seeks a seasoned supervisor for Nutrition & Culinary Services to ensure quality food service and nutrition care for patients, staff, and guests. You will work under the Culinary Services Manager and Dietitian to manage daily operations, budgets, staffing, menus, and safety.

This role requires at least two years of large-volume food preparation experience, a High School Diploma (Associates preferred), and a Food Protection Manager Certification.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Two years’ experience in large quantity food preparation.
• Knowledge and experience with therapeutic diet preparation.
• Experience in acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises department by policies, procedures, standards, and regulations under the direction of the Culinary Services Manager or Nutrition & Culinary Services Director.
• Manages department budget, expenditures, and daily meal counts.
• Develops staff schedules within budgeted FTEs and conducts monthly in-services for culinary staff.
• Inspects shipments, signs invoices, and manages inventory.
• Participates in hospital Performance Improvement and conducts kitchen safety/sanitation audits.
