University Hospital seeks an Assistant Manager of Patient Food Services to plan, direct, and manage all Diet Office procedures and patient meal delivery with a patient-centered approach. The role emphasizes high-quality, cost-effective service, staff supervision, and continuous improvement across inpatient units and clinics.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Nutrition or related field, 3 years’ lead/management experience in Food & Nutrition Services, and certification in nutrition management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Business Administration or Hospitality required.
• Three (3) years of experience in a Food and Nutrition Services environment in a lead/management capacity.
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist or Certified Dietary Manager or enrollment in an accredited program and certified within 1 year of hire.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets and CBORD Diet Office management system; certification within 6–12 months of employment and maintained.
• ServSafe Food Protection Certification within 6–12 months of employment and maintained.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office and web; strong verbal and written communication.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to supervise and train staff.
• Experience may substitute for degree on a year-for-year basis.

Responsabilités

• Create a friendly, welcoming environment; resolve complaints and ensure patient satisfaction.
• Oversee menu processing, nutritional screening, and delivery per diet orders.
• Maintain standards for assembling and delivering meals; enhance client satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and manage inventory.
• Supervise staff, including hiring, training, evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Prepare financial reports and support budget planning and QA processes.
• Coordinate clinical nutrition services across inpatient and clinic locations.
• Oversee CBORD system updates and ensure staff training on policies.
