Mercy Health’s The Jewish Hospital seeks a Facility Nursing Supervisor to ensure continuity of patient care in the absence of unit nurse managers. This role works across units to maintain safe, efficient care.

The position emphasizes collaboration with physicians, staff, and leadership, with responsibilities including staffing, problem solving, and adherence to ethical standards within Mercy Health’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred).
• Current RN license in state or compact (required).
• 2 years nursing experience with 1 year minimum clinical experience (preferred).
• Charge nurse or management experience (preferred).
• BLS required; PALS/ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of hospital personnel to maintain continuity of care.
• Makes patient care assignments according to staff ability and patient needs.
• Evaluates care given by others under direction; provides feedback to staff.
• Maintains accountability for own care and adheres to ethical standards.
• Collaborates with ROC and department leaders for patient care decisions.
