Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a House Supervisor at Perrysburg Medical Center to ensure continuity of patient care in the absence of unit nurse managers. The role emphasizes supervision, coordination of hospital personnel, and adherence to nursing standards within a faith-based organization.

The candidate will collaborate across departments, manage emergencies, and support a patient-centered care model with a focus on reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in state of practice or compact
• BSN preferred for leadership role
• BLS required; PALS/ACLS preferred for clinical leadership
• Nurse Executive Certification or specialty certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates hospital personnel to maintain safe, continuous patient care.
• Assigns patient care based on staff ability and patient needs.
• Evaluates care and provides feedback to staff for quality improvement.
• Maintains accountability for own and delegated care; adheres to ethical standards.
• Escalates issues through the chain of command as needed.
• Oversees nursing care and evaluates patient conditions on the units.
• Collaborates with ROC and department leaders for patient assignments.
• Works with supply chain leadership to ensure timely delivery of meds and supplies.
