Job summary

CompSpec Inc. is seeking a Financial Counselor to work with uninsured patients in a hospital setting, focusing on Medicaid and indigent program linkage. The role includes interviewing patients, determining Medicaid connections at the bedside, and handling third-party recovery processes.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of healthcare experience, strong time management, and bilingual Spanish abilities. Proficiency with Epic and Office software is preferred, with the ability to manage multiple tasks

Qualifications

• 1-3 years' experience in healthcare/hospital setting.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of Medicaid and Indigent programs.
• Knowledge of Medicaid application process.
• Knowledge of DPSS process as it pertains to submission of Medicaid applications.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to determine linkage to Medicaid at hospital bedside.
• Interview patients for third party linkages at hospital bedside.
• Manage a portfolio for third party eligibility/recovery.
• Work with uninsured population in a hospital setting.
