Job summary

ProMedica is seeking a Supply Chain Technician at Hickman Hospital in Adrian, Michigan. In this per diem role you will ensure the right supplies and equipment are available for patient care teams, while optimizing inventory and par levels.

You will process requests, stock and rotate inventory, report shortages, and support cost containment and timely deliveries. The position emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Effective interpersonal, oral, and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to understand directions, communicate, and respond to inquiries.
• Ability to work independently and think critically to problem solve.
• Knowledge of Windows-based computer programs and the capacity for learning specialized software programs.

Responsibilities

• Orders, delivers and stocks supplies for assigned departments as scheduled, maintaining par levels and storage space on shelves; report adjustments to inventory according to utilization.
• Checks expiration dates, rotates stock and removes excess inventory.
• Promotes teamwork and collaboration to solve problems and provide the right product at the right time.
• Processes and delivers supply and equipment requests; determines best method and timing of delivery.
• Unloads, inspects, and verifies material arriving at the dock; maintains documentation for tracked items.
• Handles outbound shipments cost-effectively with appropriate tracking.
• Enters patient charges and orders using vendor websites; demonstrates accountability and integrity.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
