Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Materials Support Assistant for Materials Distribution Services. You will ensure clinical areas have the right medical and surgical supplies, manage replenishment, deliveries, and expiration dates, and handle packing slips and logs with hospital inventory software.

The role focuses on accuracy, timeliness, and customer service on a 40-hour schedule. Your duties include receiving, stocking, counting, and delivering supplies across inpatient and outpatient units,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–12 months experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory.
• Ability to read and write in English, perform basic math, and communicate well.

Responsibilities

• Handle medical and surgical supplies for inpatients and outpatients.
• Use hospital inventory software daily for orders and counts.
• Puts away supplies from vendor trolleys into storage areas and rotates stock.
• Count supplies on shelves and ensure no expired items.
• Enter correct counts into the inventory software and upload orders to the host server.
• Pick par items the same day from warehouse shelves and consolidate like items in totes.
• Receive and deliver packages from Receiving Docks and verify against packing slips.
• Communicate issues to supervisor promptly and maintain logs for deliveries.
