Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Materials Distribution Services Material Support Assistant to ensure clinical areas receive the right medical and surgical supplies on time. You will use hospital inventory software to receive, stock, and deliver items, rotate stock to prevent expirations, and process orders with precision.

You will also handle receiving/logging packages, deliver STAT items promptly, and maintain organized storage areas daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–12 months of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, material handling, or inventory.

Responsibilities

• Handle Medical & Surgical supplies for inpatient and outpatient departments using hospital inventory software daily.
• Rotate inventory to prevent expirations and count supplies in storage areas.
• Enter correct counts into inventory system and upload orders to host server.
• Receive, verify, and deliver packages from Receiving Docks; sign and log deliveries as required.
• Deliver STAT packages immediately and route to end users with proper documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas and code carts as part of standard procedures.
