Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities of the purchasing department, including receiving, labeling, stocking and auditing supplies.
• Process hospital orders in Meditech and ensure timely data entry and accurate pricing.
• Enter purchase orders, compare with requisitions and correct discrepancies.
• Coordinate inventory management and vendor relations to maintain available supplies.
• Monitor back orders, seek substitutes when needed and ensure timely delivery.
• Support cost containment by negotiating favorable terms with vendors and reducing waste.
