Job summary

Talentify is recruiting a Purchasing Coordinator to support Materials Management in our hospital services division. The role entails assisting requisitioners, resolving purchasing issues, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services across internal and external customers.

Candidates should bring hospital purchasing exposure, strong communication skills, and knowledge of MMIS/EDI systems. This is a full-time on-site position supporting clinical and operational teams.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• AA degree preferred.
• Previous hospital purchasing experience preferred.
• Minimum of one year of general office experience.
• Knowledge involving the acquisition of equipment, supplies and policies & procedures.
• Knowledge of computer-based inventory systems.
• Knowledge of MMIS and EDI.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist requisitioners and hospital staff in procurement of goods and services.
• Identify, research, analyze and resolve purchasing issues with departments and suppliers.
• Communicate with managers regarding discrepancies, pricing, substitutes and backorders.
• Confirm purchase orders with outside vendors and follow through on problem orders.
• Collaborate with Receiving and Accounting on material transactions and delays.
• Monitor delivery expectations and expedite supplier performance when needed.
• Review inventory order patterns and quantities and maintain open communication with departments.
