Advocate Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician II at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL. This full-time, 3rd shift role involves four 10-hour shifts Wednesday through Saturday, with start times between 9pm and 11pm, and a focus on facility and equipment maintenance.

You will troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and patient-care equipment, document work in CMMS, respond to emergencies, perform preventive maintenance, and read blueprints as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of equipment maintenance experience.
• Basic computer skills (CMMS, MS Office) and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance in accordance with codes and standards and documents in CMMS.
• Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electrical systems and patient-care equipment.
• Responds to emergencies such as leaks, power outages, and equipment failures as directed.
• Reads blueprints and maintenance manuals as needed to complete assignments.
• Performs routine to moderately complex maintenance in grounds, carpentry, painting and related tasks.
