Tufts Medicine's Melrose/Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA is seeking a Full-time General Maintenance Worker to support hospital facilities and grounds. The role covers electrical, plumbing, carpentry, tile setting, painting, and roof maintenance to ensure safe, reliable operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of building maintenance experience.
• On-the-job training in one or more building trades.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical repairs, including removal/replacement of switches, ballasts, motors, motor controls.
• Performs plumbing tasks such as drains and fixtures.
• Performs carpentry work such as doors, shelving, locks.
• Repairs hospital equipment and systems; maintains safety devices.
• Inspects lighting and hospital systems for proper function.
• Participates in snow removal and seasonal maintenance.
• Maintains inventory and keeps storage area organized.
