Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our hospital campus in the Dallas area. The role covers general mechanical and preventative maintenance, inspections, services, repairs, and overhauls on hospital equipment, with installations as needed and adherence to safety codes.

You will troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, document work orders, and support 24/7 operations with variable shifts, weekends, and on-call hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance, repair, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical and preventative maintenance on hospital equipment.
• Inspect, service, repair, and overhaul equipment as directed.
• Install new equipment and ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and codes.
• Coordinate projects and ensure timely completion with quality standards.
• Document work orders, inspections, and safety checks for regulatory compliance.
• Respond to urgent repair calls to minimize patient-care disruptions.
