Job summary

Calvert Health System is seeking a facilities maintenance professional to perform preventive maintenance in compliance with established procedures. You will paint, varnish, stain, wallpaper, and enamelsurfaces as required, while maintaining carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems across hospital facilities.

The role requires independence, the ability to prioritize tasks, and willingness to respond to on-call duties. Training is provided as needed in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED or 2-3 years of education/experience in a related area.
• Trade school completion is preferred; on-the-job training may be provided.
• Maintain unit knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance according to established procedures.
• Paint, varnish, stain, wallpaper, and enamelsurfaces using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Maintain hospital facilities with power tools and basic systems knowledge.
• Respond to on-call schedule as assigned and prioritize work requests.
• Possess ability to work independently and deliver quality output.
