Job summary

UVA Community Health is hiring a Facility Maintenance Technician II/III to support the UVA Health campuses in Northern VA Culpeper and surrounding facilities. The role is on the 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm) with on-call responsibilities and a sign-on bonus.

The technician will perform a variety of building trades, including painting, drywall, flooring, carpentry, and other repairs, ensuring safety and adherence to policy. Prior healthcare facility experience and valid driver's license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4 years of healthcare facility maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid driver''s license in good standing required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, repairs, and constructs physical items as noted on maintenance requests.
• Performs professional repairs in multiple fields with emphasis on painting, drywall, acoustical tile, and flooring.
• Manages stock of building materials for maintenance/repair needs.
• Assists other Facilities Management staff as requested by Director, Facilities Management.
• Follows safety and infection control policies of the Facilities Management Department.
