Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Harmarville is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to keep our care environment reliable and safe. You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs across hospital systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other utilities, ensuring minimal downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Experience in preventative maintenance and repairs within healthcare setting is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work at heights.
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing and building systems.

Responsibilities

• Test and operate emergency power supply system (EPSS) and components.
• Install, maintain, repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pneumatic, oxygen, and telephone systems.
• Work independently within assigned time frame under supervisor.
• Maintain knowledge of facility systems and regulatory standards.
• Plan, inspect, document work; report completion to supervisor.
• Perform control maintenance and equipment overhaul within required time frame.
