Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Harmarville is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to ensure facility reliability and safety. The role covers mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and related systems, with opportunities to contribute to patient- and staff-facing operations.

You will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections, working with supervision to meet deadlines while upholding regulatory standards and quality care environments.

Qualifications

• Licensing in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC preferred.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Experience in preventative maintenance, equipment repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and/or construction.
• Healthcare experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Willing to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings or night shifts if needed.

Responsibilities

• Test and operate EPSS and its components safely.
• Install/maintain/repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pneumatic, oxygen, and telephone systems.
• Work independently within the time frame assigned by supervisor.
• Retain auto, carpentry, phone, pneumatics, stationary engineer, hydraulics, and computer skills.
• Plan, interpret, examine, draw, and record work; report daily completion to supervisor.
• Perform all types of control maintenance, building construction and repair, and equipment overhaul.
• Maintain knowledge of facility systems and applicable regulatory standards.
