Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Harmarville is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to ensure facility reliability and safe operations. You will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and tasks across hospital systems including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and building infrastructure, while working under supervision as needed.

Responsibilities include testing emergency power supply, maintaining equipment, and supporting daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare maintenance experience is a plus.
• Experience in preventative maintenance, equipment repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and/or construction.

Responsibilities

• Safely test and operate emergency power supply system (EPSS) and components.
• Install/maintain/repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing systems.
• Work independently within the specified time frame under supervisor direction.
• Retain knowledge of auto, carpentry, phone, pneumatics, hydraulics, and related skills.
• Plan, interpret, examine, draw, and record work; report daily completion to supervisor.
• Perform all types of control maintenance, building construction and repair, and equipment overhaul.
• Maintain working knowledge of facility systems and regulatory standards.
