Job summary

Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hospital mechanical systems.

The role involves servicing HVAC equipment, inspecting and diagnosing issues, and supporting building operations across the campus. The position requires a high school diploma or vocational training with at least 2 years of mechanical or electrical experience.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and be able to explain issues to other hospital personnel.
• Proficient with standard hand tools and small power tools used in maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive and/or predictive maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and systems throughout the hospital.
• Repairs HVAC systems including fan units, A/C units, and exhaust fans; conducts manometer readings.
• Inspects and diagnoses problem equipment and responds to emergencies as needed.
• Maintains clean Engineering areas and assists other trades as required.
• Uses a good working knowledge of tools and safety practices in a hospital environment.
