Job summary

Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to keep all campus facilities safe and functioning to support high-quality patient care. You will respond to emergencies, perform repairs on plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, and conduct preventive maintenance across buildings.

The role requires at least two years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and ability to read and write English.

Qualifications

• Must read and write in English and communicate effectively with staff, vendors, patients, and visitors.
• Adheres to ICare standards and safety guidelines.
• Mechanically inclined; familiar with common hand and power tools.
• Ensure MSDS on file for stocked products and follow all product use instructions.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies and routine maintenance, including code alerts, flooding, and electrical issues.
• Perform repairs on mechanical, plumbing, doors, and locks; support building repairs.
• Execute preventive maintenance on mechanical and fire protection systems.
• Complete work orders promptly and document issues and resolutions.
