Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc., part of Mass General Brigham, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment across the hospital. The role involves HVAC work, equipment inspections, and routine maintenance tasks in a complex clinical environment.

Under general supervision, you may be required to respond to emergencies, work weekends or rotating shifts, and help ensure safe, efficient hospital operations in collaboration with

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent required; a trade/technical/vocational diploma is also acceptable.
Experience in mechanical or electrical fields preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs preventive and/or predictive maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and systems throughout the hospital including fire extinguishers.
Repairs HVAC systems, including fans, A/C units, exhaust fans, and associated components.
Inspects and diagnoses problematic equipment and implements fixes.
Responds to emergency situations when needed and may cover routes across the complex.
Maintains a safe working environment in Engineering Department areas and assists other trades as needed.
