Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Per Diem HVAC Generalist at 1153 Centre Street (Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital). The role covers maintenance and operation of comfort delivery systems and related equipment across the hospital campus.

You will perform preventative maintenance, daily tours, seasonal controls adjustments, and urgent repairs, focusing on reliability and patient comfort. A minimum of 3 years HVAC experience in healthcare is required; High School Diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years HVAC experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare facility.
• Must read and write in English and be able to communicate with staff, vendors, patients, and visitors.
• Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and computer work order systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair HVAC equipment through preventative maintenance and routine inspection.
• Perform daily tours to monitor system status and reliability.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in fire drills as part of safety procedures.
• Maintain daily trouble call log and document repairs/adjustments.
• Adjust system controls seasonally to optimize performance and energy use.
