Howard University Hospital seeks a skilled Locksmith to install, repair, and maintain locks, door hardware, and related security devices across the facility. This role supports safety by ensuring access control functions properly and responding to emergencies with precision.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule (7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.) under Local 2094, with an hourly pay range of $24.07 to $38.52. Requires a high school diploma or GED and locksmith experience; adherence to HIPAA and

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two (2) years of locksmith experience with building trades training.
• Knowledge of locksmithing principles, practices, rules, and regulations.
• Knowledge of automatic door closers, locking systems, and related hardware.
• Knowledge of building codes, keying methods, and lock functions.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical specs.
• Ability to follow instructions and exercise judgment.

Responsabilidades

• Install, repair, maintain, and adjust locks, hardware, and security devices.
• Cut keys, rekey cylinders, and provide emergency access.
• Install and maintain automatic door closers and related hardware.
• Operate key-cutting machines and tools safely.
• Maintain inventory of keys, locks, hardware, and supplies.
• Document work and inspect contractor work for standards.
