UMass Chan Medical School seeks a Lock and Hardware Specialist to install, repair, and maintain all locking systems across the Medical Center, including emergency egress and master keys. You will manage the computerized key control system and coordinate with access control vendors to ensure precise input and rapid responses.
The role requires 5 years of locksmith experience, knowledge of electronic access systems, and ability to travel to off-site locations.
Under the general supervision of the Director or designee, the Lock and Hardware Specialist installs, repairs, and maintains all types of locks and hardware associated with the Medical Center locking systems, including emergency egress and master keys, and maintains the computerized access key control system. Work closely with access control vendor to insure timely and accurate input and response to access control system.
