Job summary

Sodexo in Ocala, FL is hiring a Cook I to prepare and present a variety of hot and cold foods for meals and events. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, follow Sodexo standards for quality, safety, and portion control.

The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent and 0–2 years of food service experience. Benefits include PTO, medical/dental/vision, tuition reimbursement, 401k, and more; schedule includes mornings and afternoons with some weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Basic knowledge of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, cook and present hot and cold foods for all meals and events per Sodexo standards.
• Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure quality, safety and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and proper sanitation.
• Estimate production needs and requisition supplies and equipment.
• Ability to stand, walk and lift up to 50 pounds as required.
