HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital is seeking a Hospital Laboratory Supervisor to oversee technical and non-technical laboratory staff, manage shifts, and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards. The position requires an Associate or Bachelor degree in Medical Technology, Florida supervisor licensure, and at least 5 years as a Medical Technologist, with prior supervisory

• Monitor resource utilization including payroll, supplies and expenses; participate in MOR.
• Provide leadership in coaching, training and talent development of staff.
• Screen, interview and select qualified individuals for open positions within the department.

What you will do in this role:

• Supervise technical and/or non-technical laboratory personnel and assign areas/shifts
• Supervise and/orparticipatein processes, service levels, and regulatory compliance. Functional areas of responsibility mayinclude, butare not limited to technical discipline areas in which department is licensed, specimen collection, specimenprocessingand specimen referral testing.
• Develop monitoring systems for the collection, documentation and reporting of quality assessment and improvement data; extracts pertinent information from quality assessment and improvement studies,initiatescorrective action plans, and re-monitors results
• Concurrentlymonitorresourceutilization, including payroll, supplies and expenses, client volume and revenue variation reports, outpatient volume reports,mileageand expense logs;participates in MOR.
• Provides leadership in the coaching, guidance, training, and talent development of staff
• Screen,interviewand select qualified individuals for open positions within the department

What Qualifications you will need:

• A 2-Year/Associate Degree in Science or Medical Technologyis required
• A 4-Year/Bachelor Degree in Medical Technologyis helpful
• A State of Florida Supervisor’s License OR the ability to obtain a license during the interview process
• 5 years’ experience as a Medical Technologist
• Prior supervisory experience is beneficial
• Licensure is 3 technical specialties preferred
