Job summary

Texoma Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services, Inc., seeks a Chef Sous to manage the kitchen operations in line with Dietary Department procedures and provide dietary services to patients, families and staff.

The role emphasizes professional conduct, interaction with diverse patient groups, and adherence to service standards. Prior management experience and relevant permits are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Food Management / Culinary Services or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a large Food Service facility coordinating large functions; some management experience preferred.
• Food Handler's permit required upon hire. Certified Chef preferred. Current valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and write English. Ability to communicate with staff, physicians, support agencies, vendors, and others. Ability to remain calm under stress. Ability to coordinate large functions. Good inter-personal skills, with ability to communicate effectively and record documentation legibly. Quantitative/mathematical ability. Understands volumes, weights, and measures. Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft applications required. Must successfully complete the pre-employment assessment.
