Qualifications

• Equivalent of six months full-time cleaning experience in hospitals or commercial settings.

• Good English spelling, grammar and punctuation.
• Ability to work independently within policies and procedures.
• Ability to maintain clean and sanitary work areas.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors in kitchen and storage areas.
• Clean dining rooms and serving areas; stock hand wash stations.
• Prepare sanitizing solutions and report maintenance needs.
• Empty trash; transport waste; dust equipment.
• Follow infection control and glove usage guidelines.
• Monitor food temperatures; label and date foods.
• Communicate problems to staff; comply with health regulations.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly reports; use cleaning chemicals per MSDS.
• Use equipment safely per procedures.
• Follow safety and infection control policies; HazMat and waste procedures.
• Adhere to HIPAA confidentiality.
• Attend departmental meetings and training; read policies.
