Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent (waived for incumbent).
• Experience: Experience in food service desired.
• Licenses/Certification: Serve Safe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate food and supply levels; report stock shortages to supervisor.
• Serve meals and snacks accurately per planned menus and diet orders; use portion control tools.
• Maintain proper refrigerator/freezer temperatures and log measurements.
• Keep work area clean; maintain equipment and follow safety and infection control procedures.
• Maintain appropriate food temperatures during preparation and service; monitor logs.
• Prepare and pre-portion food for regular and therapeutic diets using standardized recipes.
• Assist in delivering meals; label, date, and store food per policy.
• Wash dishes per procedure; report water/sanitizer issues; assist with receiving and storing invoices.
• Handle cash register and ensure correct pricing and cash security.
