Job summary

WHITERIVERALF in Enumclaw, WA is seeking a cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. You will prepare meals for residents, follow menus, and ensure sanitary cooking areas.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least one year of hospital or long-term care cook experience, ability to read recipes, and a ServSafe certificate. Pay ranges $22.00-$26.00 per hour DOE.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience as a cook in a hospital or long-term care facility.
• ServSafe Certificate required and maintained.
• Knowledge of PCC preferred.
• Must remain in good standing with the Department of Public Health.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner.
• Prepare tasteful meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Follow prepared menus and portion control guides; prepare special diets accurately.
• Record food temperatures; prepare pureed foods.
• Assist with serving meals and maintain sanitizer buckets.
• Report resident care concerns to Administrator/Director of Nurses and participate in training of dietary staff.
• Supervise in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
